Reading Polls

Der SPIEGEL“ (the maga­zine, not the web­site) had an arti­cle about ger­mans and their rela­ti­onship to chris­tian faith. Part of this arti­cle was a poll: Which per­sons or orga­ni­sa­ti­ons do you trust ? Now, we all know that poll results tend to be ske­wed, espe­cially in terms of the ques­ti­ons asked. OK, I’m more or less the typi­cal geek: Not too short, no visi­ble mus­cles, bad eye­sight, innate lack of fashion sense (alt­hough it’s been said that I’ve bet­te­red mys­elf a tiny bit there). Fran­kly, I’ve never thought about that much. But Johnny gave it some thought, (in ger­man) and easily impres­sio­nable per­son that I am, I star­ted to think too. I instinc­tively tried to obey some sort of unwrit­ten set of rules ever since I star­ted to com­mu­ni­cate online. Back then, the buz­zword was neti­quette, but it meant the same. The gist is
