incredibly valuable for readers of all ages“

That’s the claim made by Shannon Larratt. It’s about a site called Body Modification Ezine (go to the US Google and search for it), which deals with.. well, body modifications. Said Ezine is being blocked by the german variant of google, as the site is classified as „dangerous to the youth“ by the relevant german organisation.

As far as I could see, there’s extensive pictures and articles about that stuff, as well as warnings and disclaimers that this could be quite dangerous. I’ve no idea if this site ought to be banned by Google, or even forbidden to minors at all. That’s treacherous grounds, although I think that there are much worse sites which are open to minors, so the banning is most probably way out of hand.

What does amuse me is the claim by Mr. Larratt. While mildly interesting for someone, I think the „incredibly valuable“ claim is quite silly.

Comments and me

How do you realize that you’ve got too much things on your hands? When you have only two handfuls of comments on your blog, but miss three of them completely (with two of them actually being spam. Apologies to Mr. Kracht, for this sorry neighbourhood.)

Yay for that Statistics tool of S9Y, that helped me find all these things on in my own blog!
