After having threa­tened with the notion for a few years, she made real of it last wee­kend: Reno­vat­ing the bathroom, and finally get­ting a new lamp for the hallway!

So, here’s a short pho­to­story made with my brand new cameraphone:

That’s how things looked for a few years actually. Yep, a bare energy-saving lightbulb-thingie. Func­tio­nal, but lacking in the aes­the­tic depart­ment. A small won­der I got away with it for so long.

Yay, lucky me: There’s alre­ady a hole with an anchor for screws ins­er­ted. No messy working with the Black&Decker here, ris­king to hit a powerline.

The cable for the lamp nee­ded shor­te­n­ing. Quick work with a knife and a pen­dri­ver. Due to some design flaw by the manu­fac­tu­rer, I can’t get it as short as I’d like to, but that’s ok I think.
